Now as my readers now I study with the Open University and some of asked what the material for learning with the OU is like.

Well, now instead of me trying to explain I can simply send people to the OU iTunes website where they can download podcasts (both audio and video) to their computer (on many different subjects) and listen to themselves.

So if your considering studying with the OU but want a glimpse of what the course material is like, then you can visit the link in this post and find out, obviously you need to have iTunes installed.

The Setup

Firstly you need to set your PC up, for this tutorial I use Firefox as my browser, so if you haven’t already got it install Firefox as well (ref 1).

Go to the Firefox website and install the addon DownloadHelper (ref 2) or alternatively install it from the manufacturer’s website: http://www.downloadhelper.net/index.php

This addon allows you to download media from a plethora of sites; it even includes a handy list of websites supported.

PS3 owners are a hardy bunch.

Not only do we have to suffer with third-rate ports from some developers but when we do get an exclusive release it can leave a lot to be desired (cough…haze….cough).

So when Dustin Weller of Cleveland, USA, received a second hand PS3 from his fiancé he did what any self-respecting gamer would do; he hooked up to the ‘net and booted the beast up.

Now for those of you who don’t have a PS3, when you create a new user you can assign a Playstation Network ID (PSN) to that account, if you have just one account then you can set it to automatically sign in when it detects an internet connection.

However, unbeknownst to Weller, the PS3 was reported nicked and when the system retrieved an IP from the server and signed into the original owners account the fuzz tracked it back to Weller’s home and took the console back.

To rub salt into the wound, when Weller returned with his fiancé to the store where it was purchased from, the store wouldn’t give him a refund AND fobbed him off with an Xb0x 360, even if it was free.

Poor sap…

The biggest film of the year, Batman the Dark Knight is released tomorrow night here in the UK.

To tie in with the movies franchise a website entitled I believe in Harvey Dent has been launched (and subsequently defaced, but its supposed to be like that) to showcase one of the films main characters.

Below is my theory of the new batman film, which I haven't seen yet.
